Greenwood Acres Farm
Sales Policy
Buyers/ Sellers Contract for GreenwoodAcresFarm LLC
We take pride in the health and well being of our herd. We are CL, CAE, and Johnes negative and test annually. While we cannot guarantee the health of a goat after it leaves our homestead (due to environmental factors we cannot control), we do guarantee that any goat we sell will be healthy when they leave. All sales are final, and we are under no obligation to take any animal back after it has left our farm. Kids born in our herd receive the best of both worlds. We bottle feed all of our kids, however they are raised up right beside the dams in our barn! Allowing us to raise happy, healthy goats.
We strive to breed animals that are strong in the show ring and on the milk stand. Dams and Sires are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) and American Goat Society (AGS), and many are either champions themselves or have permanent champions in their lineage. The majority of our does have earned their milk stars from being on Dairy Herd Improvement Milk test, objectively evaluating their milk production.
Below you will find our Terms and Conditions for Sale for both kids and adult goats. Greenwood Acres Farm LLC ., does reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone who cannot provide the requirements of secure enclosure, food, water, shelter, veterinary and routine care, and herd companionship (minimum of two goats).
Goats are lots of fun and a joy to raise, but they are a livestock animal and require specialized care. Please take the time to research goat care before beginning your herd. We are happy to help guide and recommend sources as you determine if goat ownership is for you.
We accept deposits of $100.00 (USD) per kid ordered, and if a kid is offered for sale, the first deposit received assures first choice on that kid.
We reserve the right to decide not to offer any kid born, if we decide to retain it for our own herd, or if we feel the kid does not meet the necessary standards for sale, even if we have accepted a deposit previous to the kid being born.
-
If the kid is not born or we decide not to offer it for sale, your deposit may be transferred to another kid or refunded (upon mutual agreement).
-
If the kid is offered for sale and the buyer chooses not to take it after having had a reservation, the deposit will not be refunded or transferred.
-
