Welcome to Greenwood Acres Farm

  We are thrilled to have you here! Greenwood Acres Farm is located in Scottsville, Virginia! Greenwood Acres strives for happy and healthy animals on our farm! We ensure that we are a disease free herd! We take the biosecurity measures very seriously! We test annually for CAE. We are members of 3  separate organizations, the American Dairy Goat Association, The American Goat Society, and the Dairy Goat Society of Virginia! We are a performance herd, attending shows, near and far! We hope to participate in linear appraisal and milk testing one day!

  In 2024, I (Makayla), went to a livestock sale to sell some chickens. Low and behold, I saw goats! One came up and I immediately bought her. She was cute, she was cuddly, and I knew I just needed her. Anybody knows you can’t just have one goat, so another one came, low and behold, it was Dam and Daughter! Little did I know, I had purchased registered dairy goats! I reached out to their breeders, and got information on what I needed. The girls were disease tested, and I quickly fell in love! I quickly worked on what I wanted for my goats. I attended my first show in the fall of 2024, and fell absolutely in love! Since then, we have made it through a successful kidding season, have a herd around 15 to 20, and strive to make it to shows!
